
The Lady Dino volleyball team went to St. George over the weekend to play six games in the annual Dixie Flyer tournament in two days. The Lady Dinos returned to Price with a three and three record collecting wins over Waterford, Cottonwood, and Escalante.
The Lady Dinos came out in their first match on Friday taking on the Stansbury Stallions. Carbon won the first set 26-24 but fell 25-21 and 15-10 in the next two as Stansbury handed them the two matches to 0ne loss.
In the next matchup, they took on the Kanab Cowboys. The Cowboys came out and won the first set 25-16 and they also took the second 25-17, as they handed Carbon the 2-0 loss.
In the final matches on Friday, Carbon got the win over the Escalante Moquis two sets to none.
Saturday morning, Carbon woke up to play host team Dixie, taking the first 25-19, Dixie returned, taking set two 25-11. They went on to take the win in set three 25-22 and set four 25-21, as Dixie handed them the 3-1 loss.
The next match of the day Carbon took on the Cottonwood Colts. The Lady Dinos came out taking the first set 25-15. Carbon took the win in set two 25-19. They went on to close out the Colts 25-20 to win in three sets.
The final match of the weekend for Carbon was against Waterford Academy. The Lady Dinos went on to take the 3-0 win.
The weekend moves the Lady Dinos to 3-5 this season as they get ready to jump into their region schedule.
On Tuesday North Sanpete comes to Price as they square up for the first of two meetings this season. Then on Thursday the Juab Wasps come to town.
The game time for both contests is 6:30 p.m..
