Lady Dino volleyball was on the road to face the Delta Rabbits on Tuesday. It was a battle between the two teams but Carbon was able to secure the win in five sets, 3-2. Wednesday morning the RPI rankings were released with the Dinos sitting in the No. 12 spot.

The Dinos are 5-7 overall this season, and with the win have evened up their Region 12 mark at 2-2. The Utah High School Activities Association released the initial rankings for 3A volleyball on Wednesday and Carbon holds the No. 12 position, this number will be adjusted after every game until, at the end of the season, the final numbers will be used to set the seeding for the State Championship Tournament.

Both teams came out firing in the match with Carbon narrowingly taking the first set 26-24, they would earn a win in the second set as well 25-22. Delta was not going to go away quietly, especially in front of the home crowd, and came back to take the next two sets by the score of 25-20, and 25-19.

The fifth and final tie-breaking set was another tight one but the Lady Dinos were able to secure the 15-13 win, to take the region match-up, 3-2.

Carbon is back on the road on Thursday when they make the long trip to Cedar City to face the Canyon View Falcons (15-2 overall, 4-0 in the region, and No.1 in the RPI).
