Lady Panthers volleyball welcomed the Monument Valley Cougars on Friday night. After Pinnacle earned a hard-fought win in the first set, the Cougars would take the next three sets to close out the contest, 3-1.

The loss drops Pinnacle to 2-7 overall and 0-3 in region play. They sit in the No. 9 spot in the most recent RPI.

The Lady Panthers came out and took the first-set win 28-26. Monument Valley came back to take set two 25-18, to even the match at 1-1.

In the third set it all Monument Valley 25-18 again. The Cougars would then close out Pinnacle in set four 25-11.

Heather Kerr had 11 digs, 10 kills, and three service aces for the Panthers. Xylee Perry collected 10 digs and three service aces, and Myleigh Petersen earned 11 digs in the loss.

The Lady Panthers won’t take to the floor until Thursday, September 19 when they welcome the Bryce Valley Mustangs to town.
