Lady Dino soccer welcomed one of the top teams in 3A on Tuesday, the Canyon View Falcons. Both teams played even in the first half but in the second half, the Falcons overwhelmed Carbon to take the 5-3 win in Price.

Carbon slips to 8-3 overall and 6-3 in Region 12 play and sits in the No. 4 spot in the latest RPI. The Lady Dinos only have five games left this season, which ends on October 8.

Both teams came out in the first half and matched each other goal-for-goal as they went into halftime tied at a pair of goals apiece.

Canyon View overpowered the Lady Dinos in the second half as they found the back of the net on three different occasions and defensively only surrendered one goal to Carbon, as the Falcons took the 5-3 win.

Malia Smith added another goal to her impressive total of 23 for the season, which leads all classifications. Blythe Bradford and Kenzie Morgan each scored one goal in the loss for Carbon.

On Thursday, Carbon travels to Nephi to face the Juab Wasps (4-8 overall, 3-5 in region play, and No. 13 in the RPI), back on August 22, the Wasps were in Price and the Lady Dinos earned the 5-0 win.

Carbon will face the Delta Rabbits in Price on September 24. Gametime is set for 4:00 p.m..
