
The Emery Spartans were one of the 13 teams in the boy’s division and 11 teams on the girl’s side that took part in the Carbon Invitational on Wednesday at the Carbon Country Club Golf Course on Wednesday. Emery’s Addy Guymon earned a first-place finish individually, leading the Lady Spartans to a second-place finish overall. the Emery boys finished the day in seventh.
Carbon claimed the top spot on the lady’s side with Emery coming in second. Grand, Richfield, and Uintah made up the top five.
Guymon finished with her time of 17:31.1. Gentry Christiansen (3), Addie Hurst (4), Carlie Hurst (33), and Hannah Farley (43) made up the top five for the Lady Spartans. Kallee Lake and Hallie Frandsen competed for Emery as well.
Carbon also took first in the boy’s division followed by Uintah. Manti, Richfield, and Tooele made up the top five. Emery earned a seventh-place finish.
Dillan Larsen was the top finisher for the Spartans in 19th. Zander Robinson (37), Jacob Erickson (38), Daxton Larsen (40), and Hayden Christiansen (43) made up the top five for Emery. Jamison Christiansen competed for Emery also.
Up next is a trip to Moab and the Moab Golf Course on September 25.
