The Lady Spartan volleyball squad traveled to Delta on Thursday for the second and final regular-season meeting.  The two teams squared off earlier in the season at the Spartan Center with the contest going the distance but Emery fell 3-2. In Delta, the Rabbits jumped out quickly and handed the Lady Spartans a straight-set loss.

Emery slipped to 9-7 overall and 4-5 in Region 12 play, they also hold the No. 9 spot in the latest RPI.

Delta came out fast in the first set but the Spartans fought all the way, Delta would take the 25-21 win. Moving into set two Emery wasn’t ready to pack it in just yet, but the Rabbits were just a little ahead of the Lady Spartans as they took the 25-22 win.

In the third set, the Rabbits closed the door on Emery putting them away with a 25-17 win to take the straight-set match win.

Next up for the Lady Spartans is a road trip to face the Manti Templars (5-9, 4-5, No. 13). Back in early September the Templars came to Castle Dale and were handed a 3-0 straight-set loss. Thursday they will be back in the Spartan Center to face the Juab Wasps (4-13, 0-9, No. 17).
