
The Lady Spartans welcomed the Juab Wasps to the Spartan Center on Thursday night. Juab sits at 4-15 overall and 0-11 in region play sitting in the No. 17 spot in the latest RPI. The first two sets were tight but Emery took full advantage and earned the straight-set win in front of the home crowd.
Emery is now 11-7 overall and 6-5 in the region. They also hold on to the No. 7 spot in the RPI.
The first two sets were a battle as both teams fought through each point but the Lady Spartans came out on top by the same score in both 26-24.
In set number three Emery was in control as they would earn a 25-15 win closing out the Wasps in three straight sets.
Emery has a little less than a month left in the regular season which includes tournament play, three region games, and one non-region tilt.
They will be on the road to take on the Uintah Utes in Vernal on Friday. Uintah is 11-8 overall, 1-5 in region play, and holds the No. 9 spot in the 4A RPI.
