The 2024 golf season ended on Thursday at The Ridge Golf Club in West Valley. Over two days 18 teams from 3A competed with cuts coming after the first day. The Dinos made the cut and earned a third-place finish overall and had a pair of golfers Dayton King and Rydge Butler finish in the top ten.

Richfield earned the top finish in the team competition with a two-day total of 570. Morgan finished in second just three strokes behind with a 573. Carbon shot a 584 to take third. Union had a 588 and Juab finished in fifth with a 608. Morgan’s Lance Loughton shot a two-day total of 136 to get to four under par to take the top individual award.

Dayton King shot a 66 on day one and a 73 on day two for a total of 139 finishing at one under, landing him in sole possession of fifth place. Butler carded a 72 both days for a total of 144 putting him in a tie for seventh. Cash Withers had a 150 and tied for 18th, Levi King a 151 tying for 22nd. Jacksone Bosone tied for 64th with a 176 and Paxton Falk tied for 74th with a 191.

Finishing the campaign with a third-place finish in both the region and state competition makes for a great season for Carbon golf, especially when you look at the fact that three of the top five teams in the state (Richfield, Carbon, and Juab) are all from Region 12.
