On Wednesday, cross-country teams from across Region 19 met at Huntington State Park for the Championships. The Pinnacle girls finished in third place, and the boys ended the day in fourth.

In the girl’s division, it was Monticello who came out on top. Whitehorse was in second and Pinnacle finished in third.

Kaydence Romero was the top finisher for the Lady Panthers ending in 17th place. Aleece Rickets finished in 19th. Luz Ruelas (21) and Kyleigh Pitts (22) ran for Pinnacle as well.

Monticello also claimed first place in the boy’s division. Whitehorse ended in second, Monument Valley was third and Pinnacle finished in fourth.

Aleish Hayes was the top finisher for the Panthers in 10th place. Evan Nunez was in 21st place, and David Yakovich was right behind in 22nd. Jackson Shiew (23), Riley Davis (25), Dominick Vigil (26), and Brody Howell ended the day in 29 place.
