During the fall season, many people search for a treat to warm themselves up with the weather cooling down. In October, that craving also comes with a spooky side due to the spirit of Halloween being in the air. Eastern Utah Community Credit Union has an answer for both of these with their Halloween Bake Sale which will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31.
To speak about the event, Paige Anderson from EUCCU sat down with Castle Country Radio to give a more in-depth look into the bake sale.
Typically bake sales are used as some form of fundraiser, Anderson explained that this one is no different, with the money brought in by the sale going toward an exceptional cause. “ Our Halloween bake sale isn’t just about you guys getting sweet treats, though, that is a wonderful bonus; we take all of the money raised from this bake sale, every single dollar, and it goes toward the Angel Tree to give a wonderful Christmas to kids in the area.”
Outside of the charitable nature of the event, the bake sale will feature a wide variety of succulent snacks for customers to enjoy. “Every year we have such a wonderful wide array of goodies,” explained Anderson,” We have cookies, we get Oreo truffles brownies, and all of it has a wonderful spooky twist. So instead of just a cake pop, you’ll get an eyeball cake pop.”
The bake sale will be hosted at two different EUCCU locations, one in the Price office at 675 East 100 North and the other in the Moab branch at 860 South Main. “So whether you’re down south enjoying the last bit of warm weather you can, or if you’re here back at home in Price, we’ve got sweet and spooky treats just for you.” stated Anderson.
The EUCCU Halloween Bake Sale will take place on Thursday, Oct. 31 starting when the branches open at 9 a.m. until the sweets are gone. To learn more and to stay up to date with EUCCU, you can find the credit union on Facebook or its website.
