Pat Smuin and Zac Jones joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports Friday afternoon to talk about the CJ Smuin Hitting Camp, which will make its return to Carbon County on January 26 and 27.

The mission of the CJ Smuin Memorial Foundation is to bring about positive change in the lives of young people regarding suicide prevention, awareness.  The foundation hosts camps, guest speakers, and other events focused around suicide prevention and awareness, support other organizations with similar goals, and through the CJ Smuin Memorial Baseball Scholarship.

Registration for the camp is open now until Nov. 15 and tickets to the dinner banquet will be available through December 15.

Carbon High School hired former Emery High School baseball manager Rob Smith to fill its vacant position Monday morning. Tuesday afternoon Smith joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports to talk about plans for the upcoming season and what excites him most about his new team.
