Former MLB pitcher Bill Laskey joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports Wednesday afternoon for his weekly segment talking all things MLB. This week's segment featured conversations on the San Diego Padres, Albert Pujols chasing home run 700, Walker Buehler's second Tommy John surgery, the return of Bryce Harper and the AL playoff race.
Teams of 13-year-olds from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah will descend upon Carbon County in late July for the opportunity to represent the Pacific Southwest Region at the World Series held in New York in mid-August. One local team, the Battle 13U squad, will be coached by Darek Martinez, Rob Smith, Justin Powell, and Timmy Urbanik and represent Carbon County.

One day after winning his third consecutive State Championship on the wrestling mat, Emery High School senior Hayes Dalton joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports. During his time on the show Dalton talked about his incredible senior campaign as he worked back from a knee injury early in the football season to claim win the State Championship Thursday afternoon.
Friday's Drive Time Sports featured Antwan Staley of Athlon Sports, who joined the show to talk college football, including Notre Dame VS Clemson, Georgia VS Florida and Boise State VS BYU. Plus, a preview of the Sunday's biggest NFL games. Also, Alex Cora returns to Boston and MLB decides not to discipline Justin Turner.
