Is it a hole-in-one, or did they shank it in the woods? The Fantastic Four: First Steps was released in theaters this week. Here was Marvel's chance to do the First Family right. Did they? We got a sneak peek at Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein's monster in del Toro's Frankenstein, which will release on Netflix this fall. Will it be released in theaters as well, so it can be eligible for Oscar consideration, or does it just plan on winning the Toronto International Film Festival? The boys discuss.
This week, Dave and Ryan discuss the latest installment in the John Wick franchise, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, which definitely kept them on their toes. The final two segments are spent talking with Ryan's friend, Todd Maetani, a professor of Film and Media, who discusses script writing and character development.

After that, Dave welcomed local author Jason Olsen to discuss his new book, "Mark Gruenwald's Quasar: The Cosmic Gem of the Marvel Universe." Jason also attended FanX, taking part in panel discussions and being part of the chaos.
