Monday's Drive Time Sports featured Jordan Blanc, who was named head coach of the Carbon High School girl's basketball program Friday afternoon. Also, NBA analyst James Holas joins the show to talk all things NBA as we reach the final seven games of the regular season.
Teams of 13-year-olds from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah will descend upon Carbon County in late July for the opportunity to represent the Pacific Southwest Region at the World Series held in New York in mid-August. One local team, the Battle 13U squad, will be coached by Darek Martinez, Rob Smith, Justin Powell, and Timmy Urbanik and represent Carbon County.
Ahead of the upcoming tournament, three members of the Battle team joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports. Jace Bosone, Nate Tatton, and Jason Cowley all talked about a recent tournament, this year's team, and the upcoming Pacific Southwest Regional.
Carbon High School basketball coach Jared Butler joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports Thursday afternoon to recap the 2023-24 season for his team. Butler also talked about announcing his resignation earlier this week after five seasons as head coach.
