With the NBA Play-in and Playoffs set to begin, James Holas joined Jordan Buscarini Monday afternoon on KOAL's Drive Time Sports. During the segment the two discussed the play-in matchups, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the disaster ending for the Dallas Mavericks.
Teams of 13-year-olds from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah will descend upon Carbon County in late July for the opportunity to represent the Pacific Southwest Region at the World Series held in New York in mid-August. One local team, the Battle 13U squad, will be coached by Darek Martinez, Rob Smith, Justin Powell, and Timmy Urbanik and represent Carbon County.
Ahead of the upcoming tournament, three members of the Battle team joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports. Rigdon Rhoten, Austin Leonard and Jack Madrid all talked about a recent tournament, this year's team and the upcoming Pacific Southwest Regional.
Wednesday on KOAL's Drive Time Sports, Jordan Buscarini was joined by former Major League Baseball pitcher Bill Laskey, who talked about Tuesday night's thrillers between the Dodgers and Giants, as well as the Cubs and Cardinals. The conversation also includes trade rumors and which teams will be buyers over the next nine days.
