Monday's Drive Time Sports featured Hoop City News founder Tom Perkins, who joined a conversation in previewing the Utah Jazz-Los Angeles Clippers series. Also, Lebron's Lakers ousted in round one and other stories from the national realm.
Tuesday's Drive Time Sports featured Emery High School girl's golf coach Kasey Edgehouse, who joined to talk about the second meet of the season this past Monday. Vinnie Rondinelli also joins Jordan Buscarini to talk NFL Draft and the endless possibilities of the top five picks.
Teams of 13-year-olds from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah will descend upon Carbon County in late July for the opportunity to represent the Pacific Southwest Region at the World Series held in New York in mid-August. One local team, the Battle 13U squad, will be coached by Darek Martinez, Rob Smith, Justin Powell, and Timmy Urbanik and represent Carbon County.
Ahead of the upcoming tournament, three members of the Battle team joined KOAL's Drive Time Sports. Rigdon Rhoten, Austin Leonard and Jack Madrid all talked about a recent tournament, this year's team and the upcoming Pacific Southwest Regional.
