A Salt Lake City-based youth chamber orchestra, “Young Artist Chamber Players (YACP)” will present a free concert of beautiful orchestral music free to the public. This youth orchestra is made up of dedicated high school students from all along the Wasatch front who come together to rehearse each week and prepare music to share with audiences. Jack Ashton is a legendary conductor who founded this youth orchestra 40 years ago and has conducted it ever since. He was the recipient in 2022 of the Utah Governor’s Mansion Artist Award. His students love playing for him! This concert is the first this year in YACP’s annual Utah tour. They will perform two concerts the next day in Spring City and end their tour on Saturday with a concert performance in Cedar City.

The concert will be held on March 13 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Mont Harmon Middle School Auditorium at 60 West 400 North in Price
