The Carbon Dinos outlasted the Richfield Wildcats 3-2 Friday afternoon at Carbon High School, earning a 3-2 season sweep in the process.

Daniel Vega, Jesus Acosta and Jordan Hunsaker all scored one goal a piece as the Dinos edged Richfield for their third consecutive victory. The win comes despite giving up two goals to Richfield’s Sam Kemp.

Friday’s win keeps the Dinos within striking distance of the Canyon View Falcons for the Region 12 championship. With only three league games remaining on the slate, the Dinos trail the Falcons by one game for first. Carbon is currently two games up on North Sanpete for second place.

Carbon will look for their fourth straight win on the season when league play continues Tuesday on the road against Juab. The Dinos won the first meeting on March 23 3-1.
