The Carbon Lady Dinos won their fourth consecutive game and third straight in Region 12 play as they defeated the Canyon View Falcons 10-7 Tuesday afternoon at home.

Kinley Nelson recorded three strikeouts in a complete game effort from the hill, and registered a two RBI single to help lift Carbon to the win. Canyon View’s Taylor Wheelright was pegged with the loss as she struck out two and knocked two singles.

McKenna Sorenson and Makenna Pendergrass led the offensive of explosion for the Lady Dinos, combining for six singles and three RBI. Makayla Lupo delivered a solo home run and Kelsey Sorenson finished with two RBI.

Tuesday’s win puts Carbon in a tie for second place with North Sanpete in the Region 12 standings. Juab sits at the top still unbeaten at 2-0, Canyon View is in fourth at 2-3 and Richfield is in last still searching for their first win.

The Lady Dinos will have an opportunity to pull ahead of North Sanpete when the two meet on Friday in Price. North Sanpete won the first meeting back on March 22 by a final score of 6-2.
