Bureau of Land Management’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (GSENM) invites everyone to help celebrate our 20th Anniversary by exploring ten years of research discoveries on your local public lands.  GSENM’s Third Science Symposium will be held in Kanab and Escalante for three days, Aug. 2-4, with phenomenal field trip-opportunities in the nation’s largest outdoor laboratory!

From the thrill of dinosaurs to the unsolved mysteries of ancient peoples, world-renowned scientists and local experts will be your guides.  Come learn how some of our most visually-stunning landscapes have microbes to thank.  The general public is encouraged to attend and all events are free, although all guided field trips on August 3 will require personal transportation (many of which require 4-wheel drive high-clearance vehicles or car-pooling).  Science presentations and field trips are possible with the generosity of many volunteers, partners and supporters of this, and all other, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument 20th Anniversary events.

For a complete schedule of events, go tohttp://gsenm.org/home/2016-science-forum/ or call 435-826-5499 for furtherinformation. Posters and session schedules will be available at localbusinesses, and all GSENM visitor centers and Kane and Garfield offices oftourism.
