The annual Orangeville Days celebration will take place on Thursday, July 20 through Saturday, July 22 at the city park under the theme Small Town Helping Hands.
Thursday events will start off with a bang at 6:00 pm with a Trap Shoot competition scheduled for 6:00 pm at the Emery County Gun Club. The cost to participate is $5.00 per person, shooters will be able to bring their own ammo and for those in need can purchase boxes of ammo for $6.00. The contest is divided up into four divisions – youth, teen, women’s and adult. Prizes will be awarded to winners such as a .22 Savage Long Rifle, 9 mm Diamondback, .380 Auto Ruger. Also happening on Thursday evening is a kid’s parade at 5:30 pm, participants are asked to meet at the church. A bike rodeo will be held at the city park at 6:00 pm, as well as the Ice Cream Social at 7:00 pm, the night will finally end with a movie in the park.
Friday evening starts with the annual delicious Lamb Fry at 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, cost is $6.00 per plate at the city park. The Blacklight Foam Party will take place at the city park basketball court, youth who would like to attend are encouraged to wear white, yellow, orange or neon colors. There will be two sessions offered, ages 12 and under from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm and ages 13 and up 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Glow sticks will be made available to purchase at the event.
A homerun derby will be held for those that would like to take a swing for the fence at 7:00 pm at the city park ball field. The night will end with a spectacular fireworks display.
Saturday events will start bright and early with the 5K Fun Run registration at 5:30 am and the race set to start at 6:00 am. Runners are asked to meet at the city park with their $10.00 registration fee. Any questions of this event contact Staci Moss at (435) 748-2675.
Guests can enjoy a breakfast at the park by the Orangeville Fire Department before the annual parade on Main Street at 10:30 am. There will be several games, bounce houses, duck races and live entertainment for guests to enjoy until 3:00 pm. A horseshoe competition is scheduled for 12:00 pm, as well as a ATV Poker Run set for 2:00 pm.
The yearly Pie Auction will be held on Saturday at the pavilion to help raise funds for new Christmas Decorations for the city.
