Castle Country Radio Stations Ninth Annual Poinsettias of Love took place this week for elderly residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This heartwarming annual event brings Christmas cheer to elderly residents, whom are our greatest treasure that deserve a little something extra special during the holiday.

“We take care of all of the nursing homes and live-in facilities in Carbon, Emery counties, as well as Grand County, so down in Moab as well,” said Ann Anderson, Office Manager. “The owner, Tom Anderson, he had heard about the idea from another radio station that we know back east, and thought, what a great idea to be able to get these beautiful poinsettia plants and take them to local nursing homes, long-care facilities and give them to the residents.” Currently, Santa has a very busy schedule and recruited the employees at the radio station for assistance in delivering 250 beautiful plants over several days.

This small act of Christmas kindness brings such joy to residents and would not be without the merchants in the surrounding area. “It’s just a really neat event that’s made possible by our local sponsors and businesses that were able to do this for the residents in these facilities,” said Anderson. Its businesses like these that make Castle Country a great place to live.

This year’s generous sponsors are Desertview Federal Credit Union, Castleview Hospital, Swift’s Stop and Shop, Sutherlands, Alpine Medical, Dr. Larsen-Pinetop Medical, Earl’s Furniture & Appliance, Titan Electric, Dunkers, Tram, Charles Pawn, Edgy Bling, Cycle Savers, R&A Market, Magnuson Lumber, Wellington City, Allstate Dawn’s Hometown Insurance and AJ’s Paint and Body.
