The Carbon Lady Dinos improved to 2-1 in Region 14 play with a dominating 58-23 win over the Delta Rabbits Tuesday evening at home.

Carbon wasted little time developing a monumental lead, outscoring Delta 18-2 in the first quarter. From that point on the Lady Dinos were on cruise control easily outpointing the Rabbits in the next two quarters.

Jordan Bianco posted a game-high 19 points, 15 of which came from the three-point line. Jodi Noyes continued her consistent offensive play with 18 points. Kelsey Sorenson also reached double-figures ending with 12.

Carbon connected on 20 field goals throughout the contest, compared to Delta’s six. Tuesday’s win marks the second 30-plus point win for the Lady Dinos in division play.

With only one game left on the schedule before the lengthy Christmas Break, Carbon will return to the court on Thursday with a home contest against the Uintah Utes. Thursday’s meeting will be the second of the season between the two schools. Carbon won the first back on Dec. 2 by a final score of 50-27.
