Ryan Brady found the back of the net in the second half to lead the Carbon Lady Dinos past the Providence Hall Patriots 1-0 Thursday afternoon at Carbon High School.

Both team’s entered Thursday’s tilt 1-0 in region play, fresh off of wins Tuesday night. Locked in a scoreless tie at the end of the first half, Brady’s late go-ahead-goal proved to be the difference maker.

Ronni Williams and Katie Marshall shared goalkeeper duties for the Lady Dinos, recording the team’s second shutout of the season. Now 3-1 overall, Carbon as allowed just one goal in the last three outings.

Thursday’s win moves Carbon into a first place tie with the Delta Rabbits at the top of the Region 14 standings. The two teams are set to meet for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Carbon will return to the field on Tuesday in a road tilt with Maeser Prep. Playing in just one region contest so far this season, Maeser suffered a 3-2 loss to Providence on the road earlier in the week.
