Competing in two duels in two days had no impact on the Emery Spartans, who easily defeated the North Sanpete Hawks 58-18 Wednesday night in Mount Pleasant.

Just 24 hours after dominating Gunnison at home, the Spartans won 11 of 14 varsity matches against the Hawks. Slammed with a busy schedule with the Divisional and State Tournaments approaching, Emery appears to be peaking at the right time in the season.

With back-to-back dual wins complete, the Spartans will now shift their focus to the Rockwell Rumble Friday and Saturday in Heber City. The regular season will then come to a close next week with meetings against Manti and Duchesne on Tuesday and Thursday.
