A back-and-forth Region 14 battle ended in a 2-2 as the Carbon Dinos and Juab Wasps met for the first of two times this season Monday afternoon in Nephi.
Hoping to rebound from a loss to the Grand Red Devils on Thursday, Carbon scored the first goal of the game as Austin Engar found the back of the net. Juab also scored a goal during the first half, tying the contest at the break.
Carbon regained the lead in the second half as Devin Bradley scored the first goal of the second. Juab later countered with an equalizer to send the game to overtime. After playing two ten minute halves with no score, the game ultimately ended in a tie.
Monday’s tie moves Carbon to 1-7-1 overall for the season. Carbon remains win-less in Region 14 with a record of 0-4-1. The Dinos will face the Union Cougars at home on Wednesday. This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.
