The 20th Annual A Swell Cure for Cabin Fever Poker Ride will take place on May 4 with registration taking place from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. A 20th Annual Commemorative Poker Chip will be given to the first 250 registrants.

“This year is a big event it’s the 20th Annual so we’ve been doing this for 20 years. The Southwest Club in Emery County that’s no longer, they joined our club was the ones that started it. We call is A Swell Cure for Cabin Fever Poker Ride and we do it on the edge of the Swell, looking down on the Swell on the canyons that are right just underneath Cedar Mountain,” said Castle Country OHV Association Member, Robert Paul. Riders will travel Highway 10 South from Price, traveling 30 miles towards Castle Dale. A sign will indicate San Rafael Swell area, turn left to go east. Travel 22 miles east towards corrals. Registration tent and parking area upon arrival. Signage markers will be posted.

The cost to participate is reasonably priced as Paul explains, “It’s $10.00 for the first hand and if you want to buy another hand it’s $5.00 for each hand after that and then you just take off. You don’t want for anybody to get together unless you have your own group. You just take off and go out and ride at your own pace. The trail is pretty simple, we consider it an intermediate trail.” The riders will be in awe as the Swell provides a beautiful backdrop along the entire trail. Proceeds from the event will assist the Castle Country OHV Association with various expenses and future events.
