The Miss Carbon County organization is hosting a Send-off Party for Miss Carbon County Gracie Steele on Saturday, June 8 at 3:00 pm at Mont Harmon Middle School located at 60 West 400 North. Come show your support and wish her good luck at this free event.

“The Send-off is basically if you can’t attend Miss Utah – you can come watch me do my evening gown, I’m going to talk about my social impact initiative, I’m going to do my talent. It’s just a way get out and support me instead of coming up north,” said Miss Carbon County Gracie Steele. She was crowned Miss Carbon County in October 2018 and has been very busy preparing for the Miss Utah Pageant to be held in Salt Lake City during the week of June 12 through June 15.

The 2020 Miss Carbon County pageant is quickly approaching on August 17 and there will be an informational meeting for any interested young women ages 17 to 25 years of age held on June 18 at 6:30 pm at Mont Harmon Middle School. Steele explains what she has gained from being a part of the Miss Carbon County organization, “So much self-confidence. I’ve learned so much about myself, so much about this community. I’m comfortable speaking in front of people, which I usually am not. I fell like I know so much more about myself than I did. I know that high-heels after two months you get use to them after and wearing dresses is not all that bad and it’s fun to play dress up but it’s also fun to get dirty and help your community out whenever it is needed.” Upon returning from the state pageant Miss Carbon County, who is the daughter of Cletis and Nicole Steele, will continue her duties by making public appearances along with her court at several community events throughout the summer.

The 2020 mini, little, junior pageant will be held on August 16. All paperwork for this pageant is due on July 22. The 2020 Outstanding Teen Pageant is for girls 13 to 17 years of age with the pageant scheduled for August 17. There will be an informational meeting on June 18 at 5:00 pm at Mont Harmon Middle School.
