The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce has several events coming up so their Executive Chamber Director, Deserae Stevenson stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details on the upcoming meetings.

On November 20 there will be a gathering put on by the Women’s Business Center of Utah at 8:00 am at Balance Rock Eatery and Pub in Helper. “We encourage all business owners, especially women business owners whether is small business or big business, whatever, to come and support this event, it’s a free training for you, you just have to buy your own breakfast,” explained Stevenson. The guest speaker will be Rural Outreach Coordinator, Elli Lavon. This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with other women business owners, and to find the resources needed to become a successful businesswoman.

The Chamber’s November Luncheon will take place on Thursday, November 21 at 12:00 pm inside the USU-Eastern’s Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. “If you are a member its $15.00, if you are a non-member its $20.00. The speakers that we have is Pam Juliano and Mark Hamphill, I think how you say he’s last name, and the topic will be the Rio Grande Pacific Railroad Project,” said Stevenson. The Rio Grande Pacific Railroad project will be a possible railway system through Indian Canyon. To RSVP for the luncheon contact the chamber office at (435) 637-2788 or email cccc@carboncountychamber.net

The annual First Responder Banquet will take place on Wednesday, December 4 at 6:00 pm at the USU Eastern Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. “This is our Third Annual year that we’ve done it – the chamber itself and what this is, is a night that we are honoring all first responders. This dinner is free to all first responders, they don’t’ pay anything for this dinner we just do it to support them and they also get to bring a plus one that we cover,” said Stevenson. This is a celebration for all Carbon County Law Enforcement, EMS and Fire for all that they do for the community. The cost for non-first responders is $25.00 for chamber members or $50.00 for non-chamber members. Guests that wish to attend the banquet need to RSVP by November 27.
