Carla Ann Dees Pastran, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Abilene, Kansas on March 4, 2020.

Carla was born in Dragerton, Utah on December 9, 1946 to Carl Frank Sr. and Charlotte Irene Dees.

Carla was raised in Dragerton and was a graduate of East Carbon High School in 1966 alongside her mother and brother, Cecil. After high school, Carla was given different opportunities which allowed her to see many different parts of the world and fueled her loved of travel. She loved spending time in the outdoors and always seemed to navigate towards the warmth, having lived in Moab, California and Texas, to name a few. Carla was also a very talented crocheter who made beautiful blankets to share with her grandchildren, which they will forever treasure. Carla and Lee had four fur babies and eight turtles that she loved dearly. Carla will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carla is survived by her loving husband, Lee Pastran, Kansas; brother, Cecil (Christina) Dees, East Carbon, Kenneth Dees, North Carolina; daughters, Lisa (Jerry) Wilson, Ogden, Catherine (Khamp) Sykhammountry, Virginia, Jana (Ike), Price; grandchildren, Mallory (Justin), Christian, Carlee (Alfredo), Breton (Claudia), Dylan, Brayden, Cailyn, Cedric; great-grandchildren, Xzavier, Leah, Jordyyn, Kanyon, Korbyyn, Brixon, Andres and Bostyyn; mother-in-law, Clara C. Pastran; in-laws, Doreen Dees, Wellington, Mercy (Mel) Alatorre, Marsha Gonzales, Jesse (Sandy) Pastran, Andy (Sylvia) Pastran and Howard (Camilla) Pastran.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clifford, Carl and Calvin; sister, Barbara Lenich; and sister-in-law, Jayce Dees.

Funeral service, Tuesday, March 10, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Carla will be laid to rest in the Price City Cemetery.
