Our precious mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother has left us to be with her Heavenly Father. She died peacefully in her son’s home surrounded by loved ones on August 7, 2020.

She was born June 22, 1923, was raised in Fruita, Colorado, by Rosie and Moses Marez. She married Frutoso Jose and moved to Utah to raise her eight children.

She was caring, loving, and always took the time to help and listen to her family, whom she loved very much. Her favorite pastime was crocheting, especially making afghans, doilies, and dresses for her large doll collection. She also attended to her rose garden that grew along her driveway. She loved to play bingo and the penny machines in Las Vegas.

She looked forward to visits from her grandkids who tenderly called her “little granny., She would join in the fun of coloring, playing cards, and video games with them. She wouldn’t let them leave without being wrapped up in a hug.

We appreciate the loving care she received while staying at the Heirloom. She enjoyed participating with her friends in all the activities and listening to any musicians that would come.

Survived by her children, Connie (Bill), Ronnie (Pauline, deceased), Bonnie, Richard (Dollie), Robert (Pam), Rose (Alan), many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greats.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frutoso, and her sons, Doug and Art.

We have been blessed to have her as a role model and one we respected and loved very much.
