The Emery Spartan soccer squad have now won five of their last six headed in to their meeting with the South Sevier Rams. Scoring four goals in the first half and two goals in the second all the while pitching a shutout, the Spartans took out the Rams 6-0.

There are just three games left till the end of the season. Up first they will face the San Juan Broncos in Blanding on Thursday the 24th. These two teams met back on September 8th and the Spartans came away with the 5-1 win. San Juan holds a 2-6-1 record overall and is 0-5-1 in region play.

On the 29th of September they will be on the road in Richfield. On September 10th the Spartans defeated the Wildcats 1-0 in a tight match, Emery handed Richfield it’s first region loss. Richfield is 8-5 overall and 6-1 in conference and holds the No. 7 RPI.

Emery then will close out the season in Castle Dale against the Carbon Dinos in a game that could have region championship implications. Back on September 15th the Dinos defeated the Spartans on their home field in Price. Carbon has gone on to compile a 6-1 record in conference play and sit at 9-3 overall. Carbon also holds the No. 5 spot in the RPI.

Time for the final game against Carbon will be 4:00 p.m., in Castle Dale on October 1st.
