Led by Ryan Brady’s phenomenal offensive performance, the Carbon Lady Dinos blasted through the Grand Red Devils 7-2 Tuesday night in the final home regular season game of the season.

Needing a win to remain in contention for at least a share of the Region 12 title, the Lady Dinos were dominate throughout. Holding a 4-2 lead at the break, Carbon found the back of the net three more times in the second half to cruise to the win.

Brady scored four of the team’s seven goals, running her season total to a Carbon best 17. The performance is Brady’s fifth multi-goal game of the this year.

Beverly Lancaster scored two goals for Carbon and Amiah Timothy ended with one. Carbon has scored 21 goals over the past four games, accumulating a 3-1 record during that span.

Now 7-2 in Region 12 play, the chance to share the Region 12 title still remains for Carbon. In order for that to take place the Lady Dinos would have to win Thursday and Richfield would need to be upset by the South Sevier Rams.

The regular season will come to a close Thursday evening as Carbon travels on the road to meet the Emery Lady Spartans. Carbon won the first contest at home by a final score of 2-1.

Following Thursday’s game the Utah High School Activities Association will release the final RPI rankings, which will reveal the seeding for the 3A State Championship Tournament.
