Barbara Lipparelli Gale, age 75, was reunited with Dewey and joined him for a fishing trip in Heaven on October 5, 2020 at her home in Helper, Utah.

Barbs was born November 30, 1944 in Elko, Nevada to Lao Lipparelli and Hazel Rapozo Faccenetti. She was the oldest of four children.

Barbs grew up in Spring Canyon as a tomboy. She had a deep love of poetry and many of her poems were about her experiences in The Canyon.  She met Dewey in junior high school and they were later married on July 28th, 1962 in Helper, Utah. Together they enjoyed all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, and camping. They were blessed with three girls.

Dewey and Barbs lived for “The Girls” and devoted their lives to them and their families. From baseball, karate, and skateboarding – to dance and cheerleading, they were the biggest fans. Gram always helped with homework and was the go-to for poetry assignments.

She enjoyed all kinds of sports and was a bowler for many years. Although she had terrible taste in television, she could have had her own cooking show. She loved to cook for her family, and sure knew how to use the garlic.

Cooking always started with a pinch of salt over the shoulder, shoes were never allowed on the table, and you better make sure you don’t walk under the ladder. Avoid black cats, never open an umbrella indoors, and an elephant’s trunk should always be pointed up. In other words – she was very superstitious.

She went by many different names: Barbs, Spaghetti Bender, Mia-Mia, Clyde, and Gram, but most importantly, she was Mom.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Willow, Carrie, and the entire team at CNS Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Etzel and a special appreciation to her friends and neighbors, Jack and Pam Matekovic.

She is survived by “The Girls”, Wende (Chance) Rasmussen of Helper, Donie (Shane) Hackney, and Deena (Bobby) Schade, both of Price; Grandchildren, Derek (Dani) Gale, Tyler Gale, Tanner (Krystal) Hackney, Shainey Hackney (Dillen Ward), Conner (Shana) Jacobson, Calie (Garrett) Blanc, Cooper Schade, and Wyatt Rasmussen; Great Grandchildren, Kasher Gale, Kasper Jacobson, LockLynn Hackney, and soon to arrive, Jet Blanc; Siblings, Don (Donna) Lipparelli and Carla Dixon; Life-long Friend, Mary (Brent) Wilder and her Furry Friend, Blue.
