The Emery swim team traveled to Richfield on Tuesday to face schools from North Sanpete, North Sevier and Richfield. When the waters calmed the ladies claimed first place and the men second place as they continued their season.

The ladies Haley Guymon claimed victory in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:08.08 and the 200 yard freestyle finishing with a time of 2:09.68. Aubrey Guymon’s time of 1:05.38 was enough to claim victory in the 100 yard freestyle for the Spartans.

The relay team of Sydney Carter, Abby Johansen, Katie McCandless and Haley Guymon collected a first place finish in the 400 yard free relay with a time of 4:17.61. And in the 200 yard medley relay the team of Cambrie Jensen, Carter, Guymon and Aubrey Guymon claimed victory with a time of 2:09.45.

For the men, Dax Minchey took first place in the 50 yard free with a time of 24.87, Elias Morris would also claim victory in the 100 yard breaststroke finishing with a time of 1:12.98.

The relay team of Morris, Minchey, Kegley Terry and Kyler Minchey took the win in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:55.04 almost :10 faster than the second place team of North Sanpete.
