Price Chapel is looking forward to hosting their annual Christmas Eve Services at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on December 24. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Pastor Steven Swinburne to talk about their services.

“We have two Christmas Eve services this year, 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, each of them will be about 60 minutes long. We have a few tweaks this year with COVID, one is our capacity, it will be a little bit less because of that distancing and stuff, so we can fit in about 90 people per service instead of closer to 200,” said Pastor Swinburne. This will allow for those attending Christmas Eve services to social distance in a safe manner.

Normally, the annual Christmas Eve services will host a candle-lighting ceremony but due to COVID they have revamped that portion of the service. “Usually, we do a candle lighting where we are lighting each other’s candles, and kind of really close in each other space that way, and this year we’re actually going to have some battery-operated candles so we won’t have that. Masks will be required and we’ll have the distancing stuff but it will still be a great service and opportunity to just reflect and worship together,” said Pastor Swinburne. Both of the services will be streamed online via the church’s Facebook page if you choose to remain home for the services.

The church has been working hard the last few months to develop the technique to offer their regular services online each Sunday. “On March 15 we started live streaming for our first two weeks I think we did via an iPhone, then we rapidly purchased equipment and so now we video cameras and different software and those things. So yea, we live stream our 11:00 am services every Sunday, and on Facebook live and that goes up to YouTube and Instagram as well,” said Pastor Swinburne. The church offers two regular Sunday services, at 9:30 am and 11:00 am and they are located at 611 West Price River Drive.
