
The Spartan swim team traveled to Price on Saturday to face off with 10 other schools in the Carbon Last Chance Swim meet. The ladies finished strong behind the host Dinos, while the boys ended the day in fifth place.
This was the final meet before the Region Championships, that will also be held in Price on Thursday the 28th.
For the boys, Elias Morris claimed a second place finish with a time of 57.63 in the 100 yard free. Morris would join team mates Kegley Terry, Kyler Minchey and Taylor Durrant to swim to a second place finish in the 200 yard free with a time of 1:43.73.
On the girls side the team of Abby Johansen, Cambrie Jensen, Aubrey Guymon and Sydney Carter took second place in the girls 200 yard free relay with a time of 1:58.37.
The Spartans will now wait for the Region Championships this week and they will then Participate in the 3A State Championship Meet at BYU on February 12 & 13.
