The Lady Panthers basketball team faced the No. 3 Wayne Badgers in Bicknell on Saturday, in the opening round of the 1A State Championship Tournament. The Panthers had no answers for the Badgers and their season would come to an end after a tough 75-10 loss.
Pinnacle entered the playoffs on a five game losing streak, with the last game they played coming on February 15 at Wendover.
The Panthers never found their offense in the contest falling behind early on going in to the half on the wrong end of a 40-4 score. The second half was not much better as Pinnacle would only score six points and their season would come to an end.
The Badgers Aspen New would lead all scorers with 16 points, Abby Stevens would add 15 and Allee Vandyke and Hailey Durfee both had 10 in the win.
Lizvet Pinal, a senior, scored four in the loss. Junior Kemery Stuckenschneider had three and senior Jacee Atwood added one.
The Panthers will lose only three players to graduation for next season, we’ll be waiting to see what will becoming from the Lady Panthers in the 21-22 season.
