Ann Dart Macdonald, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 86, passed away peacefully March 4, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born November 29, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bert L. and Mary Elvina Kempton Dart.

Ann was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, grandmother and so much more. She was cherished, adored, admired and loved by her family and friends. She was beautiful, caring, sweet, loving, protective, passionate, funny, and loyal. She was the best mother a child could ever wish for and leaves behind her children, Ian Macdonald (Jennifer), Pam Henderson (Dean), and Mark Macdonald (Denise). She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren whom she adored. She leaves behind Ramsay Henderson, Meagan Hubbard, Jordan Henderson, Spencer Macdonald, Garret Henderson, Sarah Rahde, Anna Olsen, Katie Macdonald, Meg Macdonald, Ben Macdonald, Derek Henderson, Lydia Macdonald, Mark Henderson. She is grandma-great to Charlotte, Murray, Max and Phillip Hubbard; Aurora, Knox, and Ella May Macdonald; Jane and Susie Rahde; Weston and Kimberly Olsen; Rodrick, June, Avery and Miles Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Elvina Dart; husbands, Ramsay Macdonald and Funnon Shimmin; sister, Mary Sipes; daughter, Mary Margaret; and grandson, Andrew Paul Macdonald.

Ann also leaves her brother, Bert Dart (Dorothy); brothers-in-law, Bill Sipes (Sally), Ian Macdonald; sister-in-law, Marge Macdonald (Don); Shimmin step-children; many nephews, nieces and their families, whom she loved as if they were her own, to honor her memory.

Her biggest passion and devotion was her family. She sacrificed each and every day of her life to make theirs better. She was proud of her children and they were equally proud of their mom. She was sentimental and was the first to wish a happy birthday. She loved with all her heart, unconditionally and forever.

She was a nurse whom devoted her life to serving the Carbon County community in many ways. Even after she retired, she found a way to help others. Above all, she was a woman of faith that lived and led by example.
