Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and longtime friend, Cleo Velasquez Kouris, 86, passed away April 28, 2021 at her home.
She was born May 24, 1934 in Rosa, New Mexico to Abel and Adelena Mascarenas Velasquez. On March 28, 1953, she married Gust George Kouris in Price, Utah; he preceded her in death on May 24, 2013.
Member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Cleo devoted her life to the service of others and as a member of the Castleview Hospital Pink Ladies and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary she was always looking after the well-being of others. She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending to garden, line dancing and crafting. Cleo loved her bling-bling and she was always in search of the next piece of jewelry. If she couldn’t buy the perfect piece of jewelry, then she would make it. Cleo was a very elegant and graceful person who warmed the hearts of all. She will be sorely missed by her family and a community of friends
