The Dinos were looking to build on their three game winning streak on the road against the American Leadership Academy Eagles on Monday. In the final game of the regular season the bats were alive as the Dinos collected 15 hits and on the defensive side held the Eagles to just one hit, a single in the fifth inning of the 11-1 win.

The Dinos jumped out quickly against the Eagles putting three runs on the board in the first inning. They added four more in the second starting with a Jordan Fossat triple to center. Kade Dimick came up to bat next and would fly out to center, but that allowed Fossat to tag up and score. Dimick came up again in the third smashing a triple of his own, driving Fossat home from first.

The Dinos pushed their lead to 11-0 in the top of the fifth, and in the bottom half of the inning would surrender the only run to American Leadership on a walk.

Carbon’s offense was put on display led by Dimick who went 3-of-4 from the plate and drove in four runs. Rylan Hart, Cooper Schade, Wyatt Falk, Keaton Rich and Fossat all collected two hits in the victory for the Dinos.

On the mound Falk was given the start and collected the win going 4 1/3 innings giving up just one earned run on one hit and struck out five.  Schade was brought into go 1/3 of an inning striking out one and Jordan Wright went 1/3 to end the contest.

The Dinos are looking forward to Wednesday when the final RPI will be released and the bracket for the 3A State Championship Tournament revealed. Carbon will find out who as well as where they will play when the tournament starts on Saturday May 8.
