
Carbon High School junior shortstop Rylan Hart has been voted Region 12’s Most Valuable Player after a stellar 2021 campaign, leading four All-Region awards for the team.
Leading the team with 51 hits throughout the season, Hart accumulated a .443 batting average in 33 games. Registering 15 doubles and 25 RBIs, Hart also posted a .511 on base percentage, with a .574 slugging percentage.
Voted on by the coaches within the division, the Dinos were allowed four other All-Region players after winning the league with a record of 9-1.
Kade Dimick earned a selection after dominating on the mound and at the plate. Ending with a .875 ERA, Dimick gathered a 6-1 record with 57 strikeouts. As a hitter he brought in 36 RBIs, knocked two home runs and hit .354 for the season.
Cooper Schade blasted a team-high three home runs as he posted a .337 BA with a .437 OBP. Schade also contributed in the field as he ended with a .949 fielding percentage with 37 putouts.
Jordan Fossat was also recognized as he contributed as an every day player and pitcher for the Dinos. Ending 5-2 on the mound, Fossat’s season ending ERA sat at 2.29. At the plate he finished top five on the team in RBIs with 36, while hitting .354.
Brayton Nielsen was the fifth Carbon player to be mentioned among the division’s elite. Nielsen brought in 20 RBIs and hit .294. Recording five extra base hits throughout the season, Nielsen finished with a .400 OBP.
Dimick, Schade and Nielsen will all represent Carbon in the Senior 3A All-Star Game, which will take place at Carbon High School on May 29 at 2:30 p.m.. Hart, Fossat and Jacob Vasquez will participate in the Underclassmen All-Star Game, which will take place before at 11:00 a.m..
