Emery High baseball had three players named to the 2021 All-Region 12 team. Seniors Luke Stilson and Jax Madsen along with junior Jace Mangum we’re named to the team that is voted on by division coaches on the player’s performance throughout the season.

Stilson led the Spartans this season in hits with 35, runs (27) and batting average hitting .412 all in 23 games.  In other offensive categories, he was second on the team with 21 RBIs and knocked in one home run carrying a .505 slugging percentage. On defense he ended the season with a .944 fielding percentage.

Madsen was second on the team with 31 hits and 24 runs and posted a .365 batting average. In 85 at bats this season he struck out only three times in 23 games. In the field on defense he had a .923 fielding percentage.

Mangum had 23 RBIs this year, leading the Spartans. ending the season with an impressive stat line with a .377 BA, registering 26 hits and 19 runs and a .536 slugging percentage. Defensively he carried a .780 fielding percentage playing in both the infield and outfield.

Stilson and Madsen will represent Emery in the 3A Senior All-Star game that will take place at Carbon High School on May 29 at 2:30. Juniors Trevin Wakefield and Ryker Jensen will play for Emery in the Underclassmen game that will be played before the Senior game at 11:00.
