Price City’s International Days celebration is set to take place on July 29 through July 31. This annual celebration is a gathering for the entire community to come together for live performances, events, and activities.

All the fun kicks off Thursday evening with opening ceremonies, “Culture Connection on Thursday will have the band Shuffle coming in they do a great job. But just opening ceremonies in general will be great. We’re going to go over the Grand Marshall and just really open it up, recognize some great people in our community and have a good time with that,” said Price City Council Member, Boyd Marsing. The opening ceremonies will be held at the Price City Peace Garden at 6:00 pm, with Shuffle taking the stage at 7:00 pm. Guests are urged to bring their lawn chairs/blankets to sit on while watching the show. There will also be a 5K walk/run held at 8:00 pm starting from the Peace Garden, more information can be found by calling Carbon Recreation at (435) 636-3702.

Friday morning is all about the kids as they are able to have a parade from Mont Harmon Football Field parking lot to Washington Park. “It’s going to be mostly the same as years past so it’ll be good. Just like years past, the kids love being in the parade, they love that opportunity and so I think they’ll have a lot of fun,” said Marsing. The kids will make their way to the park to enjoy activities sponsored by Castleview Hospital. At noon all the vendors and booths in the park will open and live entertainment will begin on the main stage. There will be free swimming at the Desert Wave Pool till 8:00 pm, cornhole tournament at 5:00 pm, a pickleball tournament at 6:00 pm, a burnout contest on Main Street at 7:00 pm, and the night will close with an Under the Stars Movie in the Park at 9:15 pm.

Things will start off bright and early on Saturday with the Lions Club Breakfast at 7:00 am, with the golf tournament beginning at 8:00 am, along with the Disc Golf tournament set to begin at 8:00 am. “At 10:00 am is the Main Parade. We are allowed to throw/give out candy again so we’re excited about that. We got a lot of people interested, a lot of floats and so it’s going to be a big parade,” stated Marsing. Folks will then head up to Washington Park for the day to enjoy more live entertainment, vendors/booths, car show, horseshoe tournament, and Wicked Axe Throwing. The evening will again close out with a free Under the Stars Movie in the Park at 9:15 pm.
