The Lady Dinos were happy to be in front of the hometown crowd on Thursday when Juab came to town. Sitting at 1-1 and coming off a 2-0 loss to North Sanpete, Carbon would get back to business early scoring two goals in the first half and adding another in the second claiming the 3-1 victory.

Originally the Dinos were to face the Millard Eagles on Tuesday for the home opener but due to transportation issues that game had to be rescheduled until August 31.

Kacie Brady would find the back of the net first for the Dinos, when she sent one toward goal that appeared like the goalkeeper for Juab would stop, but the ball took a good bounce for Carbon and find it’s way home. Amiah Timothy captured the other two goals for the Dinos and scored them back to back, one in the late moments of the first half and one in the early moments of the second.

Emma Flemmett earned the win in goal with 11 saves.

The Lady Dinos head back to the field on Friday when they travel to Manti to face the Templars. Another road match on Tuesday to take on Delta. The next time they will be on their home field to face the Parowan Rams on Thursday . Game time is set for 4 p.m..
