Albert Frank DiCaro, Sr., 91, passed away September 4, 2021 at Pinnacle Care and Rehabilitation in Price.

Albert was born June 6, 1930 in Trinidad, Colorado to Michael and Louisa DeCicco DiCaro.  In 1948, he married Rosie Salamone in New York and they had four children prior to their divorce.  On March 1, 1985, he married LaVon Lewis Edwards in Salt Lake City and they were blessed with many wonderful years before her passing on February 17, 2019.

Albert was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a member of the Catholic Church.  He was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post #3 where he was instrumental in getting the Doughboy moved from Hiawatha, Utah to Price, Utah.  He was also fortunate to work alongside many local legionnaires while they refurbished the American Legion Army Carrier that was used in many activities throughout the community.  Albert honorably served his country and was a proud member of the US Navy.  He was a very generous individual who enjoyed helping others in their time of need.  Albert supported numerous charities and was willing to go the extra mile for anyone.  He loved animals and his home soon became a sanctuary for many of the neighborhood cats.   “Rest in Peace Albert, you will be sorely missed by all.”

Survivors include his four children, Albert J. (Jeany) DiCaro, Las Vegas, NV, Helen M. DiCaro, Provo, Anna (Shaun) Ferguson, Milaca, Minnesota, Bobbi J. DiCaro, Helper; LaVon’s children, Robert (Maggie) Edwards, Seattle, WA, Carolshene Powell, Cleveland, Richard (Tammy) Edwards, Columbia, Kyle (Tonya) Edwards, Price; brother, Mario DiCaro, Price; five grandchildren, Angela, Rosalie, Tanisha, Mitchell and John; and his loving nieces and nephews.
