Shirley Kaye Nelson passed from this life September 12, 2021.

She was born April 29, 1943 to Naomi and LaMar Jacob.  She married Alex Reid Tidwell in 1958 and they had two children and later divorced.  She married Kenneth Nelson in 1988.

She and her husband were members of the CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) and liked to go out for coffee in the mornings and to lunch at the Senior Citizen Center.  Shirley loved people and could make friends easily.  She loved nothing more than a nice long visit.  Shirley loved her dogs, Odie and Lucy, and family was very important to her.  She had a generous loving heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Ty Tidwell, Amy Kaye Pearson, Hyrum Frank and Paul Frank; grandchildren, Austin Reid (Kaylee) Tidwell, Lacie Faith (Brandon) Baum, Mitchell James (Nikki) Jeppson, Trevor Scott (Taelor) Jeppson, Alex Pearson, Bailey (Dakota) Breckenridge, Raylynn (José) Mariscal; 8 great-grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law, Shana Edwards, Myra Arellano, Sylvia (Mickey) Bradley, Kathy Thomas, Leoma Simpier, Judy Schmitt and Rena (José) Arriola; siblings, Julie Rae Jacob (Massoud) Shafizadeh, Connie Grange Burt, Geraldine (Geri) Grange Petersen, and Edward Vance (Tamara) Grange.

Preceded in death by her grandson, Corey Pearson.

Funeral service, Thursday, September 16, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home where family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
