The Lady Pirates of Green River have been able to string quite a few wins together over the last couple weeks bringing their season record to 7-5 and placing them in the No. 7 spot in the RPI. Last week they added two of those wins with a 3-1 win over Bryce Valley on Tuesday Sept. 14 and then a forfeit over Whitehorse Friday.

In the match with Bryce Valley, Green River wasted no time taking a 25-10 win in the first set. Set two was about Bryce Valley 25-21. The final two sets belonged to the Pirates 25-21 and 25-22.

The match with Whitehorse ended with a Green River win by forfeit.

The Pirates won’t hit the floor again until Friday when they face Tintic on the road. After that there will be just five game before they end the season on October 14 in Price to take on the Pinnacle Panthers.

The following week on Oct. 20 the State Tournament bracket will be revealed and then the tournament will begin on Oct. 23 at home sites with the final round starting on Oct. 29 at Utah Valley University.

The next home game is on Saturday against Monument Valley.  Start time is 1:15
