Many folks may have noticed in the last little bit that our COVID numbers are going down. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Southeastern Utah Health Department’s Director, Brady Bradford to talk about the COVID-19 numbers in our area.
“Finally, after probably nearly three months of just being really, really, high particularly in Carbon County had a lot of cases. The last little week or so, we’ve seen that number decline, we’re really happy about that. We still have a lot of active cases in Carbon County so we’re not out of the woods. It seems like over the last year we’ve interviewed I say that a lot, not out of the woods, that’s the case still,” said Bradford. Officials are very pleased with the decrease in numbers and hope that it will continue during the upcoming winter months.
If you are in need of COVID testing for travel or if you are feeling ill it is available at the health department by appointment only. “We do testing by appointment and I know that Carbon Medical Service still is set up daily, there on Main Street and for a drive-up anytime you’d like during the day,” said Bradford. The Carbon Medical van can be located next to Subway on Main Street in Price.
The vaccination clinic at the health department is still open for individuals who wish to get the vaccine. “Mondays and Thursdays walk-in all day long, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the afternoons,” said Bradford. The health department is located at 28 South 100 East in Price and they can be reached at (435) 637-3671.
