Gary A. Jensen, age 53, passed away peacefully November 29, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born July 10, 1968 in Moab, Utah to Stanley and Earlene Leturgez Jensen.  Married his sweetheart Anita JoAnn Ellifrits on April 20, 1996 in Castle Dale, Utah.

Adventure was always around the corner riding horses, atving on the desert, camping up Joe’s Valley and Huntington Canyon. Work hard, play hard was our family motto! Always together. Gary and Anita were always on an adventure going on lots of trips together.  Even getting stuck in the mud didn’t stop them. There was never a moment without his dogs.  He was always teasing his nieces, Fruit Loop and Fuzz B, right up until the end.  He finally got to meet his great nephew Jaxon, and that brought so much joy to his face just to watch him interact with him.  We will miss our really long talks that could go on for hours.  All he wanted was to take Anita to Yellowstone for one last trip.  She had never been and that was on his bucket list to make sure she got to go, and finally as a family we did that last year.

He was an amazing husband, best brother in the whole world and greatest uncle. Survived by his wife, Anita; fur baby, Ziggy; siblings, Kim and Charlene Harrison, Sheldon and Lori Jensen; nieces and nephews, Shawn and Katie Olsen, Justin and Kimberly Anderson, David Olsen, Jordon and Sheyanne (Fruit loop) Worley, Sierra (Fuzz B) Jensen.

Preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Robert and Billie Jones Kessler; brother, Stanley Paul; grandparents, Lyman Jensen, Wallace and Lucille Staker Jensen, and Paul and Mildred Leturgez.  He is in heaven now celebrating with the ones he loved.

Per Gary’s request there will be a private graveside service with burial next to his Mama in Castle Dale Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
